Snelling - Birmingham is seeking a highly skilled Revenue Department Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating the functions of the Revenue, Compliance, and Lockbox Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales, IT, Client Relations, QA, and Operations teams to review requirements and develop solutions.
  • Analyze and manage the impact of product enhancements and changes.
  • Implement revenue-focused operations, maintain current business clients, and develop new services.
  • Ensure all revenue payments and taxpayer correspondence have been processed.
  • Coordinate and obtain approval of clients on outbound letters and applications.
  • Responsible for the quality of taxpayer support.
  • Meet deadlines for invoices, rate changes, and delinquency notes.
  • Manage the Revenue, Compliance, and Lockbox Department administrative support team and staff.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Must have knowledge of Alabama Taxpayer Bill of Rights and Alabama Business Tax Requirement.
  • Minimum 5 years of management and office experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience with heavy inbound/outbound phone experience.
  • Heavy data entry.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and charts utilizing raw data and Excel.
  • Ability to proofread correspondence, detect and correct errors, and read and interpret city/county tax ordinances.
