Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Nursing Manager to join our team at Surgicare of South Austin. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical management and expertise to our operating room nurses, surgical technicians, and central sterile processing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all surgical areas of care to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators and other stakeholders to drive business growth and excellence.
  • Develop and implement clinical practice standards and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes and adjusting staffing levels as needed.
  • Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  • Provide breaks, ensure coverage for meal breaks, late cases, and staffing shortages to support your team's well-being and productivity.
  • Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided for upcoming cases and facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
  • Delegate, coach, mentor, and handle conflict resolution with your team to build trust and gain respect.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • 1+ years applicable experience in leadership Required
  • 1+ years applicable clinical experience Required
  • Experience in OR (preferably in an ambulatory surgery setting)
  • CNOR Preferred
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment ***online certification not acceptable
  • ACLS as required by facility
