Senior Practical Nurse for Patient Care Leadership
The Senior Practical Nurse, GS-7, is responsible for delivering advanced nursing care to adult and elderly patients with diverse physical, mental, and emotional requirements. This role involves acting as a leader, mentor, and educator within the Primary Care framework of the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Primary Care clinic
- Act as a clinical resource and mentor for fellow Practical Nurses
- Provide guidance and clinical supervision to the nursing team
- Ensure compliance with care standards and performance metrics
- Assist in managing staffing assignments and scheduling
Monday to Friday

Attractive salary with regular increases.

Annual paid time off ranging from 37 to 50 days

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
- Current, unrestricted LPN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of LPN experience with comprehensive nursing knowledge and skills.
Additional Information:
- Applicants must be U.S. Citizens
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination is necessary
- Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is mandatory.
