Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Counseling & Crisis Centers. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing crisis support services to consumers receiving 24/7/365 crisis services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis support services to consumers, including maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, assisting with basic needs, and providing motivational counseling to enhance service delivery.
- Transport consumers to community resources and provide adequate supervision and adherence to the rules by the CTI consumers.
- Monitor and report to supervisor any issues that become apparent with a CTI consumer.
- Use a community-based team approach to achieve positive consumer outcomes, stabilize the crisis, and appropriate transitions the consumer to needed services and supports.
- Develop a working knowledge of applicable organizational policy and procedure and demonstrate compliance.
Requirements:
- At a minimum, the individual must meet the NC Division of MH/DD/SA requirements for Paraprofessional.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year experience in delivering clinical crisis services.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and move freely for a minimum of 6 - 8 hours during work shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Peer Support Specialist (or pursuing certification) or Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Additional Requirements:
- 24/7/365 shift work is required for this position that may include availability by phone to work shifts and cover increased acuity on unit or as requested by supervisor.
- Must have the ability to operate telephone, fax machine, and computer hardware/software.
- Must have the ability to write in a manner that is legible, readable, and understandable.

- EBPI – A/B
- Blood Borne Pathogens
- Medication Management
