Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing both day and night activities within the warehouse to guarantee that all incoming and outgoing inventory is managed efficiently and according to established timelines.
This role includes responsibilities such as creating schedules for Warehouse Associates, training new hires on machinery operation, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Manage all facets of warehouse operations, ensuring smooth functionality and addressing issues as they arise.
This position supervises inbound and outbound warehouse processes across both shifts. Oversee the receiving and placement of all incoming products.
Supervise returns, picking, and loading operations, ensuring correct placement, loading sequences, and efficiency standards are consistently met.Establish and oversee daily replenishment tasks.
Accountable for reporting and investigating any damage to equipment, products, and facilities within the warehouse.
Coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance of equipment.
Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget constraints and work schedules, including additional workdays and shifts as required.
Ensure the timely completion of all operational and administrative duties, including, but not limited to, attendance tracking, timekeeping, replenishment, waving, and label printing.
Responsible for overseeing all warehouse personnel and leadership.
Effectively manage the performance of team members by providing coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and delivering performance feedback when necessary.
Lead the Warehouse Team by example, clearly communicating roles, responsibilities, expectations, and deliverables. Cultivate a positive work culture and a cohesive team.
Ensure that all warehouse staff utilize the Warehouse Management System during their daily operations.
Maintain associate relations through regular departmental or pre-shift meetings, monitoring morale across shifts.
Develop and sustain business relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency.
Other responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent training and experience
At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a related area
Proficient in PC skills, including MS Office and various computer applications, including presentation software
Must be a results-driven professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, exercising diplomacy and discretion, along with customer service abilities
Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Utilize sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
A flexible schedule is essential, with the capacity to alternate between day and night shifts as required, engaging with all warehouse staff.
Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to remain stationary at times; communicate effectively, and operate a computer and telephone.
Competencies:
May assist in coordinating the work of junior team members.
Resolves issues that are often varied and non-routine. Engages in analysis and investigation to address challenges.
