Job Title: Residential Treatment Specialist

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Treatment Specialist to join our team on our Fargo, ND campus.

About the Role:

As a Residential Treatment Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children and adolescents with complex behavioral health issues. You will work collaboratively with our treatment team to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes healing and growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment that provides a safe place for kids to grow and learn
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in clinically-based activities, such as one-on-one activities with kids, group facilitation, and mentoring
  • Supervise youth while they are on campus and in the community
  • Motivate, de-escalate, and coach youth through difficult behaviors
  • Engage with youth through active participation in daily activities
  • Teach daily living and coping skills based on each child's individualized treatment plan
  • Model a culture of purpose, caring, and learning
  • Must be comfortable working in and creating a trauma-informed environment
Qualifications:
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Pass a thorough background check, including criminal, abuse, and motor vehicle records
  • Pass an employment screening physical
  • Have a current driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (preference given to candidates with college coursework)
