Position: Structural Mechanic Sr
Location: Savannah, GA
Shift: 2nd Shift
Compensation: $32.19 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize specialized skills to enhance employee development and innovate work techniques.
  2. Conduct assembly and fitting of structural components, performing various drilling and riveting tasks while ensuring compliance with specifications.
  3. Demonstrate adaptability to transition between tasks with minimal disruption to project timelines.
  4. Execute riveting of structural assemblies using necessary tools, ensuring no damage occurs during fastener removal.
  5. Interpret work orders, blueprints, and sketches to ascertain the sequence of operations and specifications for rivets.
  6. Perform thorough inspections to guarantee defect-free assemblies prior to final evaluation.
  7. Guide and support team members in understanding blueprints and engineering directives, developing solutions for production challenges.
  8. Maintain accurate logs and records related to work processes.
  9. Align and assemble components for riveting using appropriate jigs and fixtures.
  10. Address discrepancies as per Material Review Requests and perform rework to ensure compliance with standards.
  11. Organize workloads and resources effectively to meet production goals.
  12. Uphold a clean and organized workspace, supporting company initiatives and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant structural assembly experience.
  • Proficient in computer usage and related software.
  • Skilled in precision work with knowledge of specialized tools and equipment.
  • Able to apply mathematical concepts to solve dimensional challenges.
  • Extensive experience with measuring devices, demonstrating accuracy within specified tolerances.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $32.19
Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and a 401K plan are available. Employees can choose coverage that suits their individual needs. Paid leave options may also be available in accordance with applicable laws.
