The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician is accountable for the preparation, distribution, and management of medications while adhering to regulatory guidelines. The technician will exhibit clinical competencies and comply with legal standards to guarantee safe medication practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide pharmaceutical support to healthcare professionals and patients.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or fulfillment of Board of Pharmacy registration criteria.
- Possession of one of the following certifications: PHRMTECHR, PHARMC, or PHARMT.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and relevant legal regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
