About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Juvenile Justice Technician in Cedar City, Utah. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and rehabilitation of youth offenders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with youth ordered into the care and custody of JJYS to provide guidance and support.
  • Monitor visitors and residents within the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Schedule and coordinate activities for the youth to promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Assist the Control Supervisor by making perimeter checks to maintain facility security.
  • Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and the public by applying appropriate intervention techniques.
Requirements
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to participate in verbal de-escalation and physical intervention training.
