Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of clinical and administrative tasks to support the delivery of high-quality patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood and body fluids, for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, including medical histories, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other clinical staff to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families, promoting health and wellness through patient advocacy and empowerment.
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) in the state of North Carolina.
  • At least two years of experience in a medical assistance role, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher in a healthcare-related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems.
