Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Noninvasive Cardiology department at Ascension Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Noninvasive Cardiology department, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including communicating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, medication administration, and other relevant data to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and supportive care environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a cardiovascular or critical care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
  • Certification in a cardiovascular specialty, such as Cardiac Vascular Nursing (CVN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
