Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nutrition Educator to join our team at the State of South Dakota. As a Nutrition Educator, you will play a critical role in promoting healthy lifestyles and nutrition education to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutrition and health assessments, interviews, and education sessions
  • Develop and implement client-centered plans to meet identified needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams and community partners to provide comprehensive services
  • Provide nutrition education in community settings and promote healthy lifestyle choices
  • Link clients to different resources and provide technical assistance to team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of motivational interviewing and client-centered counseling techniques
