Job Title: Sales Manager

Company Overview:

Our client, a 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) company, is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team in Hiram, OH. They specialize in manufacturing high-performance marine and industrial products sold globally for use in military, commercial, and recreational vessels.

The Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to drive sales growth and profitability in the Industrial products division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with the company's objectives and growth targets.
  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Identify market opportunities and potential customers to expand the division's market share.
  • Leadership and Influence: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of distributors, including setting clear goals and performance expectations.
  • Customer Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Financial Acumen: Manage the divisional sales budget effectively, allocating resources to maximize ROI and profitability.
  • Pipeline Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends for senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in sales management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong sales leadership skills, including driving strategic pricing and marketing initiatives
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • Strategic thinker with analytical abilities to interpret sales performance metrics and market data
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred

Travel Requirements: 50% travel likely
