Position Overview

Under the guidance of certified staff, engage in a diverse range of responsibilities related to the special education program within educational settings.
Individuals in this role dedicate a significant amount of time to assisting students in small group environments or providing individualized support. Additional responsibilities include the preparation of educational resources and undertaking various assigned duties.

Qualifications and Requirements

To adhere to the standards set by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
Documentation must be submitted with the application.
Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with one of the following:
* Completion of 48 college units from an accredited institution
* An Associate's Degree or higher
* Successful completion of the CBEST
* Passing score on a BUSD-approved Paraprofessional Exam

Prior experience working with children in special education settings, whether as an educator, in recognized youth organizations, or through volunteer work in educational environments, is preferred.

It is essential to attach relevant transcripts, degrees, or test scores to demonstrate compliance with the above requirements.
