Job Summary

As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of our physical therapy department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and manage a team of physical therapists and physical therapy assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Clinical Operations: Coordinate and participate in patient chart audits to ensure compliance with documentation guidelines, monitor quality assurance program guidelines, and address any quality and/or procedural issues with staff.
  • Staff Development and Training: Oversee individual clinical staff development and training, ensuring that staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.
  • Patient Care: Evaluate patients with a variety of diagnoses, establish treatment plans, and formulate goals, performing procedures, modalities, ADL activities, and exercise programs as indicated by a patient's condition and functional status.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, participate in the department's quality improvement and safety programs, and co-sign Physical Therapy Assistant documentation after reviewing for content and appropriateness.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech language pathology, with a master's degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Current licensure in practice state.
  • Experience: Supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong leadership and management skills.
