Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Tool Technologies by Van Dyke. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our waterjet cutting equipment, as well as setting up and operating CNC mills and support equipment.

  • Operate and maintain waterjet cutting equipment, including setup and programming
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical failures
  • Complete work orders and requests in a timely fashion
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Ensure high quality and safety performance
  • Excellent attendance and time management skills
  • Ability to clean, store, and preserve precision tools and manufacturing equipment

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with 2-3 years of experience in machine shop, precision manufacturing, or related field
  • Experience with manual machine tools, inspection equipment, and technical drawings
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and procedure manuals
  • Basic math skills and understanding of plane and solid geometry
  • Understanding of CNC setup, offsets, and tool length offsets
  • Working knowledge of speeds and feeds with various materials
  • Ability to generate and edit simple G-Code and conversational programming
  • Computer skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and CAD/CAM software
  • Basic understanding of fixture and tool designs
  • Desire to learn and stay current with software and technology
  • Helpful and positive attitude, with a teamwork mentality
  • Goal-driven, with a focus on shipping on time
  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or related fields
  • Familiarity with technical drawings and metric dimensions
  • Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and equipment
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Clean driving record preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds
