Staff Development Coordinator - RN

Liberty Senior Living is seeking an experienced RN to lead our staff development program.

Job Summary:

The Staff Development Coordinator - RN will be responsible for coordinating the staff development program, acting as personnel health nurse, and providing orientation for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate staff development program and personnel health services
  • Provide orientation for all employees
  • Conduct blood borne pathogens and hazard communication standards training
  • Act as primary instructor for Nurse Aide Training Program
  • Post workshops and encourage attendance
  • Coordinate in-house in-service and direct attendance
  • Assist Nursing Management Team in reviewing incident reports
  • Work as charge nurse and/or supervisor as needed

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current, valid RN license from North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Five years of nursing experience in long term care setting or nursing education
  • Ability to provide quality nursing care and supervise nursing staff
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to teach, instruct, and direct orientation and continuing education
  • Ability to read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility procedures
