Job Summary:
Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a skilled Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician to join our team at our underground operations. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on surface and underground fixed mining equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on crushers, conveyors, concrete mixing systems, pumps, and other equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Collaborate with the Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize maintenance tasks and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is properly maintained and running efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of conveyor systems and ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps.
- Basic fabrication skills, including welding and cutting, brazing, arc welding, and air arc.
- Ability to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and ability to apply those skills to troubleshoot and repair systems.
- Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools.
- Excellent safety and attendance record.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.
