Job Summary

The Warehouse Lead is a critical role within the Performance Food Group, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse. Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to employees in the warehouse, ensuring that they are aware of their responsibilities and are working effectively to meet productivity and efficiency goals.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and shipment of inventory, ensuring that it is accurately tracked and accounted for.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, and that any maintenance or repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure work environment, reporting any accidents or incidents to management in a timely manner.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to employees, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to motivate and direct a team, basic computer skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment using forklift and/or pallet jack
  • Leadership Experience: Team lead experience or equivalent
  • Administrative Experience: Administrative support work experience
  • Warehouse Systems Experience: Experience with warehouse systems, such as Voxware, scanning, AS400, and formula-based pay plans
  • Foodservice Distribution Experience: Experience in the foodservice distribution industry
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA forklift operator certification
