We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing complex and specialized MRI procedures, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including MRI exams, procedures, and the use of pressurized injection equipment.
- Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Program the computer to ensure completion of exams and store scan data correctly on PACS for future reference.
- Coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system.
- Demonstrate and maintain competence with all age-specific groups to ensure proper completion of studies.
- Adapt assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards as promulgated by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
- Perform all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
- ARRT, RT (R), or other qualified registries per scope of practice. Must be Registered or Registry-eligible in secondary modality and complete the requirements to become registered within two years of performing the secondary modality.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Three (3) years' experience in a clinical imaging setting is highly preferred.
- Registered by the (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
- Current state licensure required.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
