Job Title: Research Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Project Manager to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple research projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate research projects, including budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement research protocols, ensuring compliance with University policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with research teams, faculty, and staff to ensure effective project execution.
  • Oversee data management, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sponsors and collaborators.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as research administration, public health, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in research administration, project management, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with research governance, regulations, and University policies.
  • Knowledge of Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements and processes.
  • Experience with data analysis software, such as SPSS or SAS.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and external partners.
