SAIC is currently looking for an Aerospace Maintenance Technician for a contingent contract.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Recover and restore E-2/C-2 and F/A-18 aircraft components as part of the Stricken Aircraft Reclamation and Disposal Program (SARDIP).
2. Conduct research, manage packaging, and ensure proper documentation and transportation of reclaimed items to relevant Naval Supply activities.

3. Assist in the disassembly, demilitarization, and safe disposal of remaining aircraft structures.
4. Support the demilitarization and Safe to Display processes for aircraft intended for public exhibition.

5. Prepare necessary documentation and facilitate supply processing for the removal of various aircraft components, including flight controls, wings, doors, panels, hydraulic systems, landing gear, electrical systems, engines, and windscreen assemblies.

6. Aid in the packaging of reclaimed aircraft parts.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Skills Required:
- General familiarity and hands-on experience with standard mechanic's hand tools.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Preferred experience working on the F/A-18 platform.
- A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
- Ability to commit to a 40-hour workweek at the designated location.
- Willingness to travel to various DoD air stations for work assignments (up to 25%).

Security Clearance:


The selected candidate will undergo a government security investigation and must possess a current National Agency Check or successfully complete FBI Fingerprint/Background checks to obtain necessary base access identification cards. US Citizenship is required to fulfill the security prerequisites for this contract.
