Position Summary

The Automotive Biller plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial transactions related to vehicle sales. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately calculate and post costs for all sold vehicles, including profit analysis and the establishment of receivables/liabilities.
  • Document vehicle transactions within the accounting system.
  • Prepare necessary tax and title documentation.
  • Reconcile Dealer Reserve statements and accounting schedules.
  • Manage the inventory of purchased vehicles.
  • Assist in preparing paperwork for lenders to facilitate funding.
  • Ensure all funds due are collected and properly documented.
  • Process payments to financial institutions.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the costing process.
  • Prepare payoff checks for trade-ins and manage trade title follow-ups.
  • Handle after-sale warranties and related documentation for month-end processing.
  • Adhere to all titling laws and filing requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Automotive Billing is required.
  • Previous experience in a dealership setting is essential.
  • Proficient in accounting principles and skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.
  • Possess a friendly demeanor, enthusiasm, and reliability, along with a positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Open to constructive feedback for personal and professional development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in roles such as costing clerk, title clerk, billing clerk, or accounting assistant is advantageous.
