As an Occupational Health Nurse at Kimberly-Clark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees. You will collaborate with human resources, legal, and safety teams to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory programs, including OSHA, ADA, HIPAA, and FMLA. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing and delivering occupational health programs and services that support our K-C health and wellness strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee workers' compensation injury and illness evaluation, treatment, and case management, as well as leave of absence management and STD & FMLA.
- Conduct injury/illness assessments, triage treatment, and provide comprehensive occupational health services through regulatory compliance, proactive intervention, and prevention.
- Manage and deliver medical surveillance and medical clearance programs for our sites.
- Maintain all medical information in accordance with OH, Legal, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with Safety and Industrial Hygiene on medical recommendations in risk assessments, surveillance, medical clearance, work-related injuries/prevention, accommodations/return to work.
- Work with HR and site management on work accommodations, return to work, EAP, Fit for Duty, ADA, Drug and Alcohol, etc.
- Assist Safety in the medical aspect of the Emergency Response Team.
- Support K-C Wellness and Healthy Being initiatives.
- Evaluate and treat work-related or non-work-related injuries and illnesses, referring as appropriate.
- Assist in accident investigations from a medical perspective and provide vaccinations as needed.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Bachelor of Science with 3+ years of occupational health experience. You must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license and CPR/AED certification. Case management experience is required, as well as knowledge of epidemiology, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety, industrial hygiene, EAP, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA. Proficiency in computer software, such as operating systems, databases, and file management, is also necessary. Occupational Health Certification, NIOSH-approved Spirometry course completion, and CAOHC certification are preferred.
