Teaching Specialist

We are seeking part-time Teaching Specialists to support the teaching mission of the Information and Decision Sciences Department. The successful candidates will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including IT/IS in organizations, Financial Information Systems and Technologies, Business Process Excellence, Enterprise Systems, and more. Courses are offered during the day, evenings, and Saturdays.
The duties and responsibilities of this role include course materials preparation, textbook selection, course delivery, evaluation of students, record keeping, management of teaching assistants, and office hours.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Teaching Specialist: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience in a closely related field.
- Sr. Teaching Specialist: Bachelor's degree plus 6-8 years of experience in a closely related field, with 4 or more years of formal teaching experience.
- Lecturer: Terminal degree or Master's degree plus 5 years of related industry and/or academic experience.
- Sr. Lecturer: Terminal degree plus 10 years of related industry and/or academic experience, or Master's degree plus 15 years of related industry and/or academic experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous college-level teaching experience is preferred at all levels.
