Job Summary

Job Overview

The Seasonal Laboratory Technician will be responsible for preparing samples with accuracy and precision in accordance with SGS' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role will work under the direction of a supervisor and as part of a team to meet daily production targets and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples for analysis according to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies.
  • Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of preparation instruments and equipment.
  • Input and maintain technical information as needed to support laboratory functions and operations.
  • Maintain a Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
  • Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories or seed or biological laboratory or prior experience working with one's hands.
  • High School Degree preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Part-Time; Fixed Hour Shift - Days.
