Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provide care via the nursing process, trends, and technology.
- Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit specific to the scope of service.
- Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care to assure integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
- Complete an initial assessment upon patient admission and develop an appropriate plan of care.
- Implement plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
- Modify the plan of care based on continuous evaluation.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with others to resolve issues.
- Offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers.
- Identify own learning needs and take initiative for appropriate solutions.
- Fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies.
- Ensure good communication with patients and family through meaningful hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and whiteboards.
- Collaborate with critical care team for ICU lite patients and with hospitalists for Advanced Care patients.
- State RN License in good standing
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
- STEPDOWN, MED/SURG, and TRAVEL EXPERIENCE
