Job Overview

This role involves supervising the Tuberculosis (TB) programs and grants nationwide, coordinating the Four Corners TB Conference annually, and serving as the TB lead for the American Lung Association. You will be responsible for the leadership, design, implementation, evaluation, supervision, and budgetary oversight of the TB programming.

This position is 100% grant funded, providing a stable financial foundation for the role. The location of this position is flexible, with options available in either Atlanta, Georgia or Orlando, Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide budgetary oversight support for existing and future TB programs using funder-required reporting platforms.
  2. Evaluate the fiscal efficiency of grant funds and maintain communication with funders.
  3. Organize and execute the planning and implementation of the Four Corners Conference.
  4. Collaborate with the National Senior Director of Infectious Diseases as TB point of contact within the organization and ensure essential communication with local staff.
  5. Develop educational and program activities to support TB education and initiatives.
  6. Support the recruitment and onboarding of new staff and provide strategic leadership to staff working on TB projects.
  7. Hire staff who demonstrate job competencies and qualifications, providing regular feedback and training to promote professional development.
  8. Assess performance against objectives annually, recognizing good performance and taking corrective action when necessary, according to agency policy.
  9. Research, identify, and submit grant opportunities that align with strategic imperatives.
  10. Maintain relationships with community members, department of health staff, key stakeholders, government agencies, elected officials, community leaders, and media.
  11. Create and maintain communications, including emails, newsletters, elected official communications, and educational events.
  12. Participate in statewide and regional initiatives with other partners.
  13. Attend regional meetings, community partnership meetings, and required trainings.
  14. Develop and maintain databases of community members, organizations, local leaders, and legislators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, Health Promotion, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of management-level programming experience required.
  • Experience in coalition building, developing and implementing community awareness, education, and programs specifically related to TB and/or public health.
  • Excellent project, budget, and staff management skills, as well as a thorough understanding of strategic development.
  • Demonstrated success in grant writing and grant management.
  • Experience in managing, implementing, and evaluating programs.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to work with minimal direct supervision, make decisions, and take initiative.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and steward relationships across a diverse population.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • A valid Driver's license and own reliable transportation with the ability to travel within assigned areas 25% of the time for meetings and conferences.
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.

Salary: $65,000 - $73,000 per annum, depending on skills, experience, and location.
