About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Neurology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the University of Utah. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, education, and support to our patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Pediatric Neurology Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide expert nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and brain injury. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-management and empowerment
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, including data collection and analysis, to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • CURRENT licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or equivalency
  • CURRENT RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly those with neurological conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
