Job Summary

As a Telemetry Monitoring Tech at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. Your expertise in ECG rhythm analysis and monitoring will enable you to provide precise and timely surveillance, recognizing significant events and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide precise and continual surveillance and analysis of cardiac rhythms on electrocardiographic central monitoring stations, documenting per established procedure.
  • Interpret ECG rhythms, recognize significant ECG events, and escalate as necessary to a Registered Nurse.
  • Communicate information in a clear, concise, and accurate manner to the responsible individual within established timeframes.
  • Operate and troubleshoot all functions of the telemetry monitoring system, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge patients, entering all required information in the telemetry monitoring system.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Telemetry Monitoring Technician education program or one (1) year of related experience.
  • Knowledge of ECG rhythms, the monitoring system, and the ability to review trends and alarms.
  • Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged and/or extensive sitting, standing, and walking.
