Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Recovery team at Castleview Hospital. As a RN Recovery FT, you will play a vital role in promoting and restoring patients' health by completing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for both the pre-surgical/procedure patient and post-operative patients recovering from general, local, and regional anesthesia based upon age-specific and cultural needs.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal recovery and outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' condition, ensuring timely interventions and interventions to prevent complications.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
Requirements
- Valid Utah or Compact States nursing license.
- BLS within 60 days of hire.
- ACLS within 6 months of hire.
- PALS within 6 months of hire.
- Required to maintain certifications once obtained.
