Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Serving Guests: Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, following the proper steps of service.
  • Table Setup: Set up tables with the necessary items for service, including flatware, drinkware, condiments, linens, and other essentials.
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of current menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, accompaniments, and sauces.
  • Bus Tables: Bus tables quickly and quietly, ensuring that they are thoroughly cleaned and ready for the next guests.
  • Upselling: Upsell menu items and wine pairings to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
  • Teamwork: Participate in daily cleaning of the dining room and service stations, and attend monthly department meetings and daily standups.
  • Cash Handling: Follow cash handling procedures and be able to explain shortages and overages.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in hospitality, preferably as a server.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, excellent communication skills, ability to use technology, beverage knowledge, and ability to work on a team.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, ability to bend, ability to lift 50 pounds, and ability to communicate clearly.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to make sound judgments quickly, work on multiple tasks, manage differing personalities, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively in stressful situations.
