Job SummaryThe Behavioral Health RN Intake Coordinator oversees the pre-admission assessment process, responding to calls for information, patient inquiries, and services offered. This role works collaboratively with the Respond Department and Senior Leadership to facilitate admissions and coordinate resources.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to calls for psychiatry services, addressing identified needs of callers and patients.
- Prioritize patient calls based on need level, ensuring timely and thorough responses.
- Coordinate activities with Respond Department and Director for accurate record-keeping and efficient patient flow.
- Ensure EMTALA compliance, reporting concerns to the Respond Director immediately.
This position requires a Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree, with Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must also be completed within 30 days.

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
