Job Summary

Martin County Hospital District is seeking a skilled Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments, develop plans of care, and implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and in accordance with current clinical nursing practice.
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegated to non-licensed personnel.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care.
  • Perform a range of technical services to comprehensively serve patient needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing.
  • License to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nursing or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact.
  • Successful completion of AHA-approved courses in BLS upon hire.
  • ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • PALS certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years experience as a Professional Registered Nurse in an operating room environment.
  • Prior OR experience preferred.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
