Job Summary

The Lutheran Home is seeking a Part-time Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service to residents and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure food is presented in an attractive manner.
  • Prepare, serve, and store food at proper temperatures and according to sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain food service equipment and operate safely.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including assigned and unassigned duties.
  • Assist with orders, receiving, and storing food.
  • Ensure food products are properly rotated, labeled, and dated.
  • Wash dishes, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or dishwasher.
  • Interact with residents and families in a caring and friendly manner, meeting their dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Time management and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Dietary experience preferred.
