At Vision Plastics, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our manufacturing team on the Graveyard Shift.

This role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement and paid training. The ideal candidate will be able to lift, reach and pull 55 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally.

  • Coordinate the movement of materials between the staging area, grinder area and machines to ensure a smooth flow of press operations.
  • Verify lot number, color, material number and quantity staged and mix material, as needed.
  • Keep machines full of material, per instructions/guidelines and communicate to oncoming and outgoing material handlers all necessary information.
  • Fill out dryer and grinder material identifying sheets, return material tags, filter chart log, Change to Master's, defect material reports and other paperwork completely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure all hoses are secure and all equipment is set up correctly.

- Clean dryers and all loading equipment, providing a contamination-free environment.

- Report all defective equipment to maintenance and/or misuse of equipment to Lead or supervisor immediately.

- Assist in training new Material Handlers, as assigned.

Requirements

- Must be able to read, understand and verbally communicate work instructions.

- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

- Must have basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify material by part number.

- Must be able to communicate effectively and problem-solve.

- Must be able to attain forklift, pallet jack, crane and other required certifications.
