We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital York, a 23-bed critical illness recovery hospital located within UPMC Memorial Hospital. Our hospital specializes in treating patients who require more time to recover after their stay in the ICU or Trauma units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the nursing care plan is being followed, receiving admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Administer initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments, and document accurately and timely.
- Interpret assessment/diagnostic data, transcribe and process medical orders accurately, and maintain competence in Rapid Response and code events.
- Promote continuous quality improvement and instruct/patient counsel patients and families.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each patient feels informed and understood.
