Pharmacy Technician

At OnePoint Patient Care, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Fills prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
- Provides high-level customer service by answering pharmacy phones and responding promptly to requests from colleagues, patients, nurses, physicians, and hospice personnel.
- Contributes to the efficient workflow of the pharmacy by maintaining a high productivity level and error-free work product.
- Maintains the orderliness of the pharmacy by keeping countertops and drug bay shelves tidy and organized.
- Enters, accesses, and verifies the accuracy of data in the pharmacy system.
- Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
- Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
- May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from the inventory.
- Communicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Assists in the training of new employees.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to operate a computer and recognize and identify medications.
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, effective oral communication.
- Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the State Board (Certification is preferable).
