About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Building Engineer to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment, machinery, and controls located in the interior and exterior of buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, monitor, and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building equipment, including mechanical/HVAC/plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.
  • Maintain the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
  • Prepare estimates detailing the amount of time and materials needed for completing tasks.
  • Perform work in compliance with standard operating procedures and/or critical work packages, and maintenance work instructions.
  • Use PC and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training.
  • Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and eight or more years of experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Universal CFC certification required.
  • Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
