Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Healthcare Professional to join our team at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers in examining and treating patients, taking and recording vital signs, and preparing patients for examination.
  • Provide technical support in medical procedures, including drawing blood, administering medications, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Interpret technical information and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans, and provide education and support to patients and families.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on clinical support and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, with a regular schedule and occasional overtime. You will be working in a healthcare setting, with exposure to patients and families. You will need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
