Key Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day operations, including single or multi-department management of operations.
- Direct, supervise, orient, train, and evaluate staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Enforce policies, procedures, and standards of operation to maintain high-quality patient care.
- Provide individualized comprehensive nursing care, based on nursing process, to meet the patient's physical, psychological, spiritual, social, and educational needs.
- Manage the staff to meet designated goals and objectives.
- Deliver patient care according to designated standards and practices.
- Assist in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care.
- Establish a mechanism to track customer service performance and take corrective action to address any issues.
- Participate in the development of annual budgets that reflect appropriate expenditures for personnel, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage to budget; monitor variances between budgeted and actual expense reports and take action to correct negative variances within appropriate timelines.
- Assist with Kronos/payroll to assure accurate data entry.
- Participate in the interview, selection, and orientation process for new team members in collaboration with nursing management, RN staff, and other team members.
- Responsible for day-to-day staffing and making appropriate decisions based on patient needs and skill level of caregiver.
- Develop the staffing schedule and post it within established timeframe guidelines.
- Guide staff in the advancement of their education and leadership skills, particularly team building, conflict resolution, and delegation.
- Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School or Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
- Three years relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona.
- CPR required.
- ACLS as applicable by Facility/Department, PALS/NRP are required for certain clinical areas.
