The Regional Cancer Care Associates is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Clinical Oncology.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care and management of complex oncology cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical and psychosocial health histories and examinations to patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies related to patient care and response to treatment.
- Provide follow-up care on an inpatient and outpatient basis, including telephone calls and consultations.
- Identify and initiate interventions for oncology-related problems, such as symptom management and toxicities.
- Collaborate with specialists, including physicians and chemotherapy infusion nurses, to ensure seamless care.
- Evaluate patient intervention outcomes and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Participate in daily huddles and conferences with the team to facilitate communication and coordination of care.
Requirements:
- A graduate degree from a school of nursing and an approved Nurse Practitioner Program (MS preferred).
- Five years of professional nursing experience, with 1-2 years in a nurse practitioner role or 1-2 years in an Oncology Nurse Practitioner role.
- Possession of NJ, CT, or MD State Registered Nurse license and ANCC or ANA certification and NJ, CT or MD Nurse Practitioner Certification.
Salary:
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
