Job Overview

The Retail Operations Manager role is essential for delivering daily leadership within the store and guiding team members. This position aligns with Monro's mission to establish itself as a premier provider of automotive and tire services, recognized by customers as the top choice for quality maintenance and repairs.

Compensation: $55,458 - $78,000 annually. Compensation is determined by experience and certifications. This position is eligible for additional bonuses and incentives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate sales and technical team members to ensure a consistently exceptional customer experience
  • Drive sales performance by contributing to the creation and execution of sales strategies, possessing in-depth knowledge of services, products, and the automotive sector
  • Present tire and service offerings to customers to enhance sales, satisfaction, and loyalty
  • Assist team members in fostering a productive sales atmosphere by training and developing them on all operational and customer service aspects
  • Guarantee optimal staffing levels by overseeing recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and team development
  • Manage expenses effectively by overseeing payroll, communication costs, store upkeep, supplies, utilities, and other controllable expenditures
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required

Management Duties:

The Retail Operations Manager provides daily oversight to all roles within the store, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Technical Service Manager, Service Manager, and Assistant Store Manager. This position operates under the general guidance of the District Manager.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-4 years of proven leadership experience in a retail or sales environment. Demonstrated ability to manage, drive, and achieve financial outcomes while controlling costs. Capability to inspire and motivate a team to meet established goals and objectives.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Customer and team-oriented mindset with extensive experience in customer-facing environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues and prepare routine reports
  • Business-oriented mentality with a commitment to surpassing established targets
  • Basic mathematical skills to compute figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Proactive approach with demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Capacity to take initiative in identifying challenges, gathering data, and establishing facts to develop practical solutions
  • Ability to effectively mentor, coach, and develop team members

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This position operates in an automotive service environment, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust.

Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and stocking merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

Frequent standing and walking for extended periods is necessary.

Regular reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting is required.
