Grants ManagerUnder the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Grants Manager plays a vital role in securing funding for Tribal initiatives. This position involves researching, preparing, and submitting grant applications to various federal, state, county, and private organizations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of grant writing principles.
Responsibilities- Identify funding opportunities that align with the Tribe's strategic goals and objectives.
- Conduct thorough research on potential funders and their requirements.
- Develop compelling grant proposals that clearly articulate project needs, outcomes, and budgets.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and documentation for grant applications.
- Ensure compliance with all grant guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Track grant deadlines and submit applications on time.
- Maintain accurate records of all grant-related activities.
- Prepare progress reports and financial statements as required by funders.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as public administration, social work, or business administration.
- Proven experience in grant writing and proposal development.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local grant funding programs.
