Audiologist Opportunity at Naval Health Clinic

We are seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our team at Naval Health Clinic in Goose Creek, SC.

Job Summary

The Audiologist will administer audiology tests to patients, identify and assess auditory and balance systems, and provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in audiology, certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Audiologist.

Responsibilities
  • Administer audiology tests to patients of all ages
  • Identify and assess auditory and balance systems
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including intraoperative monitoring and cochlear implant assessment
  • Counsel patients and provide guidance on educational and training needs
  • Conduct routine tests, including air conduction, bone conduction, and speech reception thresholds
  • Test for non-organicity and determine accuracy and reliability of test results
  • Perform electrophysiological tests, including Auditory Brainstem Response and Electrocochleography
  • Conduct hearing aid evaluations and recommend hearing aids for purchase
  • Provide aural habilitation and immittance audiometry services
  • Test pediatric patients using play audiometry and conditioned orientation reflex audiometry
Requirements
  • Master's degree in audiology
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Audiologist
  • Full, current, and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
Work Schedule

The Audiologist will work 16-20 hours per week, with a preferred schedule of Wednesdays and Fridays. The work schedule may be flexible, but the Audiologist must be available to work during the hours of 7:30am-4:30pm.
