Open Arms Community Health and Service Center is seeking a dedicated Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our facilities and the individuals within. The primary responsibility of the Security Officer is to safeguard the premises against any unlawful activities or unauthorized access.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, keen observational abilities, and prior experience in surveillance, ideally within a security or law enforcement context. This role requires maintaining composure in stressful situations while demonstrating patience and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the assigned areas. In the event of suspicious behavior, notify local law enforcement. Monitor surveillance systems and assess crowds as necessary. Ensure all entry points are secure and conduct routine checks of doors, windows, and gates. Assist in escorting individuals off the premises when required.
- Investigation: React promptly to alerts regarding suspicious activities. If an individual is suspected of engaging in criminal behavior, secure the area and the individual, and inform local authorities. Carry out additional duties as directed.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Certification in security guard training is preferred.
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or sitting for extended periods, and detaining individuals when necessary.
