Join United Surgical Partners International, Inc. as a dedicated PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse. We are a dynamic Ambulatory Surgery Center focused on delivering exceptional quality care and experience for our patients and their families.

Position Details: This role requires availability on weekdays only, with no obligations for holidays, weekends, or on-call duties. Some later evening shifts may be necessary.

Role Overview: The RN in PreOp/PACU is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by utilizing the nursing process, adhering to the medical plan of care, and following organizational protocols. This position ensures safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the perioperative journey for diverse patient populations. The RN aligns with the mission, vision, and values of our organization and reports directly to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver quality nursing care in accordance with established standards.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions preoperatively and post-anesthesia.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about the surgical process and recovery.

Qualifications:
  • Must hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Preferred 1-3 years of experience in PreOp nursing.
  • Experience in an ambulatory surgical center is highly desirable.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient management.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their application.
  • Ability to adapt swiftly to changing patient conditions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with staff, patients, and physicians.

USPI adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding workforce vaccination requirements. Candidates may need to provide proof of vaccination or obtain an exemption based on applicable laws prior to employment.
