The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Examine patients and record their medical history
- Adhere to proper charting protocols and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
- Order or execute tests and images as needed, and analyze results to diagnose and report to patients
- Administer or prescribe treatment and medications, and promote health through education and prevention
- Refer patients to specialists as needed, and perform minor surgery
- Report deaths and contagious diseases to governmental authorities
- Current State of New Mexico license in good standing
- Current National Board Certification
- Current DEA registration
- Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to provide quality healthcare
- Prior experience using an electronic medical records system
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
The Nurse Practitioner - APRN reports to the Clinic Administrator/Chief of Staff.
Physical Requirements- Ability to communicate effectively with patients
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues as necessary to provide quality healthcare
- Ability to use a computer, printer, and scanner
- Ability to sit, stand, or view a computer screen for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods
