As a pioneer in crop insurance since the privatization of the industry in 1980, RCIS has established itself as one of the largest providers of crop insurance in the United States. We deliver comprehensive risk management solutions across all 50 states through a vast network of approximately 4,000 licensed agents.

Key Responsibilities:
The Regional Underwriting Services Manager will be responsible for:

  • Imparting knowledge of crop insurance policies and procedures to the team, while overseeing the review and processing of crop insurance documentation.
  • Reinforcing training provided by the National Training team regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and handling complex policy suspensions.
  • Monitoring the status of suspended policies and guiding the team to ensure compliance with established SOPs and RMA regulations.
  • Collaborating with other regional offices to maintain consistency in submission handling and processing policyholder requests.
  • Ensuring the team delivers outstanding customer service and effectively manages escalated issues.
  • Facilitating training and support during internal meetings.
  • Demonstrating a strong customer focus while upholding professionalism to meet customer needs and achieve production goals.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the insurance, underwriting, or market-facing sectors.
  • Alternatively, a Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Or a High School Diploma with at least 6 years of experience in the insurance, underwriting, or market-facing areas.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry and its regulatory framework.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following will be favored:

  • Insurance certifications.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Background in a production and metrics-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with operational budgets.
  • Knowledge of international insurance programs.

Compensation:
The starting salary range for this position is $76,000 to $125,200. Compensation may vary based on factors such as office location, role, skills, and experience. Zurich also offers a comprehensive employee benefits package.
