Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at The Chesapeake in Newport News, Virginia.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide basic care and assistance with activities of daily living to our residents. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure the highest level of care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to residents
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Help residents with mobility and transferring
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school graduate/GED
  • CNA certification license
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy, and compassion
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for various medical conditions
